In August 2013, I created a website for the restaurant where I was working part-time. Using WordPress, I customized a theme forest template, and set up a domain name at manouscafe.co.nz. I was given little direction – almost none at all – and used my own creativity to build a site that would make the cafe stand out. I ended up shooting my own photos and writing a portion of the content in order to make the theme work. It took about three days in total, with minor adjustments to the text and to the main navigation (video) in the following week.
