I shoot with a CanonT1i and a standard 18mm – 200mm lens. If I want a closer shot, I get closer to the subject. I don’t have an external flash. I work with natural light by adjusting the settings on my camera, finding the right angle and balancing the built-in flash. I don’t have a remote shutter-release. When I want a long exposure, I improvise with duct-tape, bottle caps and buttons. I don’t have a tripod. I rely on (un)steady hands and the surfaces around me. I don’t have Photoshop. If I want a pretty picture, I create it with my camera.
